City housing tenants build their digital space |
Wellington ICT trained city housing tenants on how to develop a community website to network and communicate with each other.
The site, built by tenants using free online builder tools aims to build a stronger and more caring community and create opportunities to work together more efficiently and regularly.
Commmunity Voice is also an avenue to let WCC know how tenants feel and help create a closer relationship between the local government and tenants. Check out the site at www.communityvoice.net.nz |

City housing tenants troubleshoot PC desktops |
Wellington city housing tenants are able to assemble and troubleshoot basic desktop computers thanks to the eRider training of Wellington ICT.
In May, two full day intensive workshops were organised to teach budding computer technicians how to troubleshoot hardware components and software applications.
“We want to upskill tenants on how to fix their own computers as well as
equip them to help others in the housing community,” says Joel,
Wellington ICT director. “If tenants know how to troubleshoot computers,
then they do not need to pay technicians to have their PCs fixed.
